 Welcome to the website of BATINGAW NETWORK, the sole youth alliance dedicated to combat child-pornography in the Philippines. BATINGAW network is the youth and children secretariat of the multi-sectoral network, Anti-Child Pornography Alliance (ACPA).
Formed last March 2007, ACPA is composed of church leaders, socio-civic groups, legislators, government agencies and fellow children's rights advocates. On August 2007, ACPA together with the Institute of Youth Services and Development Inc. (IYDS Inc.) formed BATINGAW network, the youth and children secretariat of the ACPA.Since then, ACPA and BATINGAW Network has been conducting various activities such as information dissemination campaign (awareness raising), senate and congress visits, press conferences, forums and workshops to further its advocacy against child pornography.
ACPA and BATINGAW Network, the only youth alliance dedicated to combat child-pornography is alarmed by the rising statistics of poverty, unemployment and hunger. In times like these, the children and youth are most vulnerable to abuse in the form of child labor. The network foresees that these grim scenarios will only provoke our youth and children to engage in desperate measures in order to provide for their families and child pornography is one of which. Thus, child-Pornography will be a more prevalent practice of our youth in order to survive in the midst of socio-economic crisis now more than ever.
The groups realizes the vital role of collective participation to address this grim condition that threatens the brilliant future of our children.

 | hi! last friday we went to PDEA for a froum of pornography and drugs: a lethal combination, with dr.cindy dollente-ang and PHILCADSA officers, good thing that they tackle the pornography,,, ms. tita pilapil navarete, PAAP president, PAAP is also an organization fighting against pornography. i told them that the bill that was made by senator madrigal, escudero,lapid and villar was on the third reading. she was surprised about the news. i hope we can cooperate with them for fighting against pornography and child pornogrphy.
